Walt Disney World Employee Killed in Accident at Pop Century

A Walt Disney World employee was killed on July 9 in an accident at Pop Century.

According to reports the victim, 33-year-old Juan Alberto Ojeda was unresponsive at the hotel property and declared dead after 9 a.m.

Police have stated that the accident occurred in a backstage area of the hotel that is not accessible by guests and was not connected to the construction of the Disney Skyliner transportation system.

Authorities are not releasing any additional information as it is still an open investigation. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is also investigating.
