The 1970s Section at Pop Century

1970s 8 track.

While we have our favorite section at Pop Century (the 1950s), we still love the other sections, especially the 1970s!

This groovy section is home to some of the best icons at the resort including the giant Big Wheel, the Mickey Mouse phone (which might be our favorite icon ever!), and the HUGE foosball game with players bigger than you! That part is so much fun to walk through – it’s as though you’ve been shrunk to smaller than toy size!

The buildings in this section are adorned with huge mood rings and 70s sayings like “10-4 Good Buddy.” And the stairwells are actually giant 8-track tapes.

And while the 1970s section doesn’t have its own quiet pool you’re close enough to the Hippy Dippy Pool and the computer pool that you can choose where you want to cool off.

If you’re looking for some fun games be sure to check out the Twister games that are permanent fixtures in the section. The spinner boards are mounted so you can always play!

One section of the 1970s area is closer to Classic Hall than the other – so if you want a shorter walk you can request rooms 0101-0472. That’ll be the Big Wheel Building. The Mickey Mouse phone building will give you a longer walk to the front of the resort.
